About the Author


Jamaican-born Jacqueline C. Grant holds a Master's degree in Latin American history and gender studies and a Ph.D. in Caribbean and Latin American history and Atlantic Studies. She lives with her two children, two guinea pigs, and Sox and Butter the family cat and dog in Reno, Nevada.
