In Brian Selznick's beautiful new book, Big Tree, Mama says "A good parent gives their child roots and wings. Roots to settle down, and wings to bravely go where you need to go. That's a metaphor..."

Using this quote - and thinking about the idea that you will grow into a brave tree with strong roots - what would your tree look like?

1. Draw, color, paint, or create an artistic rendition of your tree. You can print and use this frame, if you'd like.
