ABOUT ONLINE ORDERING: The Reading Bug is thrilled to have the ability to offer you access to over 3 million titles online – waaaay more than we could ever fit in our store!  Through our partnership with Indiebound.com, a tiny, independent bookstore like ours can compete with massive online retail chains.  Thanks for thinking of us every time you need to purchase a book online.  Before placing an order, make sure you note your book's inventory status, so you have can reasonably anticipate delivery times.

• On Our Shelves Now: These titles are in-stock in our store!  Stop in and pick them up today - or give us a call so we can set them aside for you.  Note that date and time of the last in-store inventory check is also listed on the book detail page, and there is a possibility that the status has changed since the last stock check.
   
• Ships in 1-5 Days: We may have your book on the shelf or it is readily available from one of our distributors and can be ready for pick up or shipped to you that quickly.
  
  
• Coming Soon: Available for Pre-Order: These titles will be available soon and may be ordered online or in-store today so you can make sure you’re among the very first to receive them!
  
  
• Out-of-Print: Unfortunately, these books are not available at any warehouse or from any publisher. These listings are for reference only.
  
  
• Special Order: This means the book you selected is not stocked at any warehouse, but may be available through a special ordering process.  Many times, the titles end up being unavailable, but we’re certainly willing to try to track them down for you – just don’t expect them to arrive too quickly.

When your order is received, we will notify you if it looks like the order will take longer to ship than expected.  For orders delivered for in-store pick-up (no shipping charges for you, of course!), we’ll also notify you when the order is received so you can stop in, visit us, and pick up your books.  If you have questions, please call us at (650) 888-0100 or email us at weborders@thereadingbug.com.

RETURNS: We will gladly accept returns of any items ordered online as long as they are in their original condition, and returned within 14 days of receipt.  You may return your items by bringing them to our store or, if that is not possible, by emailing us at returns@thereadingbug.com to coordinate.
