Lauren Savage

Lauren Savage grew up in a small town in Western Massachusetts. She graduated from Emerson College in Boston with a BFA in musical theater. She then spent 8 years in New York City performing in various Off-Broadway shows and some film and TV. It was there she met her wonderful husband Brandon who whisked her away to California. Shortly thereafter, Chloe Elisabeth Savage was born. Lauren loves being a Mom and raising her own tiny Reading Bug who will often be seen running about in the store.
Lauren has a hand-crafted line of baby clothing & accessories as well as a jewelry line. Look for her creations on the shelves of The Reading Bug. She also hopes to perform children’s music periodically in the store to continue her singing career.

When Lauren was small, her Mom and Dad read to her every night before bed. She vividly remembers her Mom reading a chapter of Charlotte’s Web every day and when it was finished she wanted to read the whole thing again! Other favorite books from her childhood include: Amelia Bedelia by Peggy Parish, Corduroy by Don Freeman, The Cat in the Hat by Dr. Seuss, and the Ramona series by Beverly Cleary.
