The Reading Bug loves our schools, students and educators!

We often have authors visit who love us to set up school visits. Let us know if you are interested in talking to us about bringing authors to you school.

We offer teachers an everyday discount of 10% discount on in-store book purchases, and we offer school librarians a 20% discount on library books.  We are happy to sponsor shopping days or nights at The Bug, and to offer a percentage of the proceeds received from your members during these sales to the school or other sponsoring organization. 

We also do great school Book Fairs! Please contact us if you are interested in a spring Book Fair, as our calendar is already filling up!

The Reading Bug will work with your school to determine the approximate number of book titles/books for the Fair, based on past Book Fair history and the length of your Book Fair.  The Reading Bug will deliver and pick up the inventory for sale at your Book Fair.  We also will train your volunteers on how to handle the cash register. 

A Reading Bug book specialist will be present at all times during your Book Fair to provide story times and/or book talks for classes during the Book Fair.  In addition to providing your students with great books, your school or parent teacher association will receive the agreed upon percentage of purchases at the Book Fair, in store credits against book purchases and cash.
