HEROESOF THE ENVIRONMENT profiles 12 extraordinary environmental heroes--ofall ages, places, backgrounds and kinds of work. Harriet will give aquick overview of why she chose these people--and then tell the storyof one or two of the heroes.

***Childrenand adults are encouraged to bring their own stories aboutenvironmental projects they have been a part of to share with Harrietand spark discussion!  Afterwards, younger children can make a super hero cape with their favorite environmental hero on the back!

HarrietRohmer is a new voice in environmental books for young people--and alongtime pioneer in children's multicultural publishing.
