  The Reading Bug will be celebrating Earth Day all weekend, with special visits, crafts and storytimes!

Recommended for ages 4+ Learn about Harvey the Earthworm in this "Earth-warming" story.  Then we'll do some hands-on earth and energy work with special kits brought in by the autho! Book signing to follow. Harvey the Earthworm meets some other dirt-dwellers and learns that by doing what he does best, he makes a world of difference. Vandy Shrader feels a deep connection with the natural world and loves to help others experience this connection through her stories and poems. She enjoys hiking, sailing and teaching kids about nature. She lives in Northern California with her husband and their two children. Learn all about our beautiful California redwoods, why they are so important, and what you can do to help save them from a member of Savetheredwoods.org.   We'll then read stories about the Redwoods and learn oodles of fun facts.
