If you've been to The Bug lately\, you may have noticed the addition of a fabulous Plan Toys train set. If you love planes\, trains\, trucks or cars\, we know you'll love to meet Jennifer Vetter\, author of an adorable new picture book - Down By the Station!
Jennifer will read and sign copies Down By the Station. Kids can participate in fingerplays\, stretches and other fun activities on Jennifer's felt board. And that's not all! Jennifer will be bringing transportation-themed stickers for the whole audience to take home!

Jennifer Riggs Vetter has edited and translated many children's books\, but this is the first one with her name on the cover. She lives in Oakland with her husband and two sons\, who created the inspiration for the book during the long car ride home from grandmother's house one fine Thanksgiving Day. Jennifer does a weekly storytime with lots of singing at a Head Start preschool in Oakland\, which helps her keep up to date on what the young kids are into these days. Bob Barner has been drawing since he was three
years old. After graduating from the Columbus College of Art and Design
in Ohio\, he moved to Boston and worked as an art director at several
advertising agencies and design studios. His work has been chosen
several times for inclusion in the Society of Illustrators Original Art
Exhibition.
When he is not writing\, drawing or playing one of his guitars\, Bob
enjoys speaking to young readers at schools and libraries around the
world. He lives with his wife Catherine in San Francisco.

Ashley Wolff has been an artist since she declared herself one at the age of 5. She grew up in Middlebury Vermont. Ashley’s ties to Vermont remain strong and she still spends part of every year in Middlebury. Even as a high school student\, Ashley planted a huge vegetable garden and had a “hot” compost pile in a chicken wire cage. Ashley received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1979 and her first job after college was working as a graphic artist at a small newspaper in Vermont. Ashley's other books include The Miss Bindergarten series\, I Love My Mommy Because...\, The Little Wild Horse\, and many more.
