teach parents to be both firm and kind\, so that any child - from a
three-year-old toddler to a rebellious teenager - can learn creative
cooperation and self-discipline with no loss of dignity.

Susan Lehman
is a Certified Positive Discipline Associate and has been a
Professional Nanny for over 20 years with families of young children.
One of her claims to fame is that she was a "\;Hollywood Nanny."\; In
Beverly Hills\, she was a nanny placement counselor and instructor at a
well known Nanny School/Agency used by the stars.
Susan has dedicated her life to developing happy\, secure and
independent children as well as coaching parents on every aspect of
their child's development and care. She started her career becoming a
Certified Nanny at a nationally recognized school. She has also had
training at the Coaches Training Institute in San Rafael\, California in
life coaching. Susan loves her work providing Positive Discipline
training\, consultation and supportive services. With over 20 years
experience as a Certified Professional Nanny\, Susan has gained a wealth
of knowledge about nurturing children which adds to the depth of her
teaching as a Certified Positive Discipline Associate. Her teaching
style brings warmth\, humor\, comfort and enthusiasm to all her lectures
and experiential workshops for parents\, teachers\, childcare providers\,
and any groups who work with children or families.
In the past five years\, Susan's work has brought her recognition as a
great speaker and workshop facilitator. She has customized speeches and
workshops to meet the demands of interested parents and teachers.

If you've been to The Bug lately\, you may have noticed the addition of a fabulous Plan Toys train set. If you love planes\, trains\, trucks or cars\, we know you'll love to meet Jennifer Vetter\, author of an adorable new picture book - Down By the Station!
Jennifer will read and sign copies Down By the Station. Kids can participate in fingerplays\, stretches and other fun activities on Jennifer's felt board. And that's not all! Jennifer will be bringing transportation-themed stickers for the whole audience to take home!

Jennifer Riggs Vetter has edited and translated many children's books\, but this is the first one with her name on the cover. She lives in Oakland with her husband and two sons\, who created the inspiration for the book during the long car ride home from grandmother's house one fine Thanksgiving Day. Jennifer does a weekly storytime with lots of singing at a Head Start preschool in Oakland\, which helps her keep up to date on what the young kids are into these days.
