BugBucks for schools

Here on the Peninsula, we're thankful to have some of the best schools in the country, but they need our help!

The Reading Bug is proud to offer BugBucks for Schools, a program that benefits our local schools by donating a percent of what our loyal patrons spend.  With BugBucks for Schools, once a school has signed up for the program, anyone who makes a purchase at The Bug can apply his or her purchases to the school.

Every time the school accrues $200 in purchases, we will provide that school with a $12 gift card to use to purchase books and supplies. 

Currently, all San Carlos schools are enrolled in the BugBucks program as well as many schools around the Bay Area.  Stop in to be sure your school is enrolled or have a school adminstrator contact us

Already enrolled in the BugBucks program for your family? You don't need to choose one over the other. You can always apply some purchases to your personal BugBucks account and some to your school's - that way everyone wins! 

If you are interested in enrolling your school in the BugBucks program, please let us know the name of the person who will be receiving and spending the BugBucks dollars on behalf of the school. We will then post your school's name on our website to increase participation.

Unfortunately, due to technical limitations, purchases paid for online cannot be applied to your Bugbucks account at this time. In order to have your online purchase applied to your Bugbucks total, please selct the "Pay at Store" option. We'll give you a call when the order arrives and you can come into the store to pay and pick-up, and make sure your Bugbucks rewards keep accruing.
