Baby Bugs Package >>

This package is particularly great for ages 3 and under, but can be great for older kids if you bring your own activities!

• Enjoy a 20-30 minute age-appropriate storytime with one of our experienced Storytellers on any theme you choose.
• Order book-themed party favors through us to receive 15% off. We'll supply the party favor bags for you!
• Enjoy our beautiful multi-purpose room for 2 hours
• Bring snacks, drinks, cake or cupcakes at no extra charge.
• Use our tables and chairs for eating or for setting up your own activities!

Busy Bugs Package >>

This package is great for ages 3+ and especially great for busy kids who love to go, go, go! Invite up to 14 children to this party which is done in activity stations all age appropriate to your birthday child!

• We will begin with a 30 minute storytime on the theme of your choice.
• Two activity stations related to your theme (usually a coloring station and a craft station)
• A face painting station
• Order party favors through us and receive 15% off let us put them on our party favor bags for you
• Enjoy our brand new multi-purpose room for 2 hours
• Bring snacks, drinks, cake or cupcakes at no extra charge.
• We’ll even clean up so you can get home faster!

Reading Bugs Package >>

This is a great party for kids ages 3+. This is our classic party package where you can choose from our many pre-planned, book-themed parties: Alice in Wonderland, Fancy Nancy, Ladybug Girl, Bumblebee Boy, Pinkalicious, Curious George, Animal Boogie, Magic Treehouse and more! Invite 14 friends and sit back and relax! (view a complete list of our pre-planned party themes)

• Storytime based on your theme
• Approximately 90 minutes of theme-related, hostess-led activities and games
• At least one theme-related craft to take home
• Set-up and clean-up for a stress-free party
• Decorations, tableware, apple juice and service for participating guests
• One paperback book as a party favor for each participating guest to take home, wrapped in our Reading Bug bag.
• An experienced Hostess to lead your party

Build-Your-Own-Bugs Package >>

In addition to receiving all the great perks of The Reading Bugs package, you can opt to have one of our experienced hostesses plan a party specifically for your child! Choose a favorite book or topic and we will plan the perfect party based on your child’s likes and dislikes.

• All prices based on 14 participating guests. Extra charges apply to parties with more than 14 guests.
• Participating guests in activity parties must be 3 yrs or older.
• Parties do not include cake or cupcakes, but the hostesses will serve either in the Reading Bugs Package and the Build-Your-Own-Bugs package.

Curious George (Recommended for ages 2-5)
What child doesn't love this classic character? Read about how this famous monkey met the Man in the Yellow Hat, make your own big, yellow, explorer's hat, play games like "Captain on Deck" and "Monkey in the Middle." and make your own kite - just like George's in Curious George Flies a Kite! Choose your favorite Curious George story to give out for party favors!

The Animal Boogie (Recommended for ages 2-5)
Perfect for both boys and girls! Make a lion mask and parade around the store scaring the grown-ups. Dance and sing like the animals we'll read about...and choose an animal-themed book to give out as a party favor such as the "Animal Boogie Activity Book!"

Ladybug Girl and/or Bumblebee Boy (Recommended for ages 3+)
At this party, we will listen to buggy stories, make bugs to take home, and have adventures through the store-- Just like Ladybug Girl! Sing Songs and hide under a ladybug shell, collect stickers of bugs for answering insect and ladybug girl trivia!

Pinkalicious (Recommended for ages 3-6)
Have a "Pink-errific" time with stories all about the color pink including the best-seller, Pinkalicious! Celebrate your birthday with Pinkalicious and Goldy! Decorate your own Pinkalicious princess hat, parade down The Reading Bug path to find the Wandering Wizard, Pin the Horn on the Unicorn and much more! Each guest brings a home Pinkalicious paperback party favor book

Fancy Nancy (Recommended for ages 3-6)
Have a Fancy tea party with Nancy! In between reading Nancy's books on being \line fancy, dress up and play follow the Hostess, sip on "Jus du Pomme" (or fancy apple juice!), make your own exquisite tiara and take a lesson on how to be fancy, like Nancy!

Where The Wild Things Are (Recommended for ages 3-6)
Have a "slumber party" birthday with Max and the Wild Things; read Max's wild story and other monster tales, then make your own monster mask and have a "wild rumpus" with all your monster friends!\line Follow the King of the Monsters through wild activities. Each guest brings home a "monstrous" book for a party favor.

Alice in Wonderland, "Happy UNbirthday" (Recommended for ages 4-7)
Re-read this classic children's book and celebrate your birthday the UNbirthday way - with the Mad Hatter and all his friends! Have a wacky tea party, play with the Cheshire cat, and make your own flower mask to fit in when you visit the garden of talking flowers! Each guest brings home an Alice in Wonderland Golden Book.

Olivia (Recommended for ages 4-7)
After reading a few Olivia favorites at storytime, play dress up, parade down The Reading Bug's path with your own Fourth of July band and work together to draw your own circus with Olivia and all of your friends in it! Each guest brings home an Olivia early-reader book!

The Strange Case of the Origami Yoda (ages 6+)
Does your child LOVE Star wars? What about Tom Angleberger's awesome books? At this party we will have an Origami lesson (of course!) as well as learn to make other cool Star Wars crafts (Don't forget about Darth Paper!). We will also go pod racing on Tatooine and decode one of Yoda's riddles! No weapons please, Reading Bugs are a friendly people.

Magic Tree House (Recommended for ages 6-8)
Does your birthday child love the adventurous brother and sister duo from the Magic Tree House series as much as we do? At a Magic Tree House birthday party, we'll read excerpts from some of our favorites in the series and venture into prehistoric time with a Dinosaur Egg stomp, explore ancient Egypt with our mummy wrap and go on a Pirate's treasure hunt! And each child will go home with their own book from the series!

Harry Potter (Recommended for ages 7-12)
Transport yourself to Hogwarts and take classes just like Harry, Hermione and Ron right here at the The Reading Bug! In potions class we'll make fun sticky messes that will boggle your mind, in Care of Magical Creatures, you'll go on a scavenger hunt for weird and wacky animals. And in between we'll make our own wands and try Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans-- don't get stuck with a booger flavored one!
